Orders
Work Order Queue
The work order queue is the starting point for all production activities. When a new work order is created, it enters the queue where it awaits prioritization and assignment. This phase involves initial assessments, resource allocation, and scheduling to ensure a smooth transition into the production line.
- Work order creation and entry into the queue
- Preliminary assessment of resource availability and production capacity
- Prioritization based on production schedules and deadlines
Production Phase
Once a work order is selected from the queue, it moves into the production phase. This is where the actual manufacturing or service delivery takes place. It involves coordination between different departments, utilization of resources, and adherence to quality standards.
- Resource allocation (manpower, equipment, materials)
- Execution of tasks outlined in the work order
- Quality control checks during production
Ready for Dispatch
After the production phase, the completed work order moves into the “Ready for Dispatch” stage. Here, a comprehensive evaluation is conducted to verify that the product or service meets the specified criteria outlined in the work order. This phase is critical for identifying any defects or deviations from the original requirements.
- Inspection and testing based on predefined criteria
- Documentation of inspection results
- Correction of any identified issues or defects
Work Order Released
Upon successful completion of inspection and any necessary corrections, the work order is officially released. This means that the product or service is ready for delivery to the customer or for the next phase in the production chain. Documentation and records are updated to reflect the completion of the work order.
- Final documentation and record-keeping
- Communication of completion and release to relevant stakeholders
- Transition to the next phase in the production or delivery process
